Horizen Labs is excited to announce an immediate opportunity for developers and zk builders to launch creative apps using zkVerify, web3’s modular proof verification layer. This initiative offers exciting cash rewards, direct technical support from the Horizen Labs team, and co-marketing support for select projects.
Background
zkVerify enables builders to use new zk proof types, with fast and inexpensive verification, and finalization to Ethereum and other EVM's. When using zkVerify, proof generation and verification is faster and less expensive than any other method. zkVerify helps web3 developers break free from the stagnation of zkSNARKs. Use the new RiscZero RISC-V zkVM and build your custom zk dApps quickly with well known developer tools.
This grant aims to showcase the power of zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) in enhancing privacy, security, and efficiency within various sectors, including identity, consumer, DeFi, and governance using zkVerify’s proof verification infrastructure.
Grant Overview
The selected demo zk-dapp should demonstrate practical applications of zkVerify in ensuring data privacy and security. The proposed application should also demonstrate the practical applications of zkVerify in one of various sectors such as identity, consumer (social, NFTs, gaming), DeFi, and governance.
We encourage proposals that explore innovative use-cases in areas such as:
- Gaming: Hidden card shuffle, fog of war in person to person games
- Identity: Secure and private identity verification.
- Consumer: Social platforms, NFTs, gaming, etc.
- DeFi: Financial applications with enhanced user privacy.
- Governance: Secure and anonymous voting systems.
Deliverables & Expectations
Successful proposals will deliver a fully-functional demo zk-dapp that integrates zkVerify, along with comprehensive technical documentation and a final presentation. We expect a thorough demonstration of how zkVerify enhances the chosen application category.
We welcome proposals from experienced developers and firms with a strong background in blockchain and ZK dApp development. Submissions should include an executive summary, technical approach, budget breakdown, and team composition.
