Hey everyone — Luca here from the zkVerify team!

I’m beyond excited to share some big news: our latest runtime upgrade, zkVerify 0.17.0, is officially live. We’re calling it The Big Beautiful Runtime Upgrade — a shoutout to the many improvements we’ve made across the board.

This release is all about setting the stage for what’s coming next, while making zkVerify leaner, smoother, and better aligned with our long-term roadmap.

Here’s what’s new:

Introducing SP1 Verifier Support

We’ve integrated support for SP1, a brand-new verifier developed by Succinct, one of the most forward-thinking teams in the ZK space. This is the first time zkVerify includes a verifier for SP1, and we’re launching with support for version 5.0.5. It’s a key milestone that ensures zkVerify is compatible with modern zkVMs and ready for the latest advances in proof generation.

Updated Parachain Parameters (VFlow Prep)

We’ve upgraded our XCM and parachain parameters to prepare for the launch of VFlow, our upcoming EVM-compatible parachain. These changes pave the way for seamless cross-chain interoperability and mark another step forward in zkVerify’s broader ecosystem strategy.

Governance Tracks Are Here

This release introduces our initial set of governance and treasury tracks — a foundational framework for on-chain participation in zkVerify. This structure is designed to be efficient, accessible, and ready to grow over time, with additional tracks planned as the community expands.

This release isn’t about bells and whistles — it’s about building a solid foundation. With 0.17.0, zkVerify is more aligned than ever with our vision for scalable, transparent ZK infrastructure.

Thanks for following along — and stay tuned. The best is yet to come!
