zkVerify Runtime Upgrade 0.11.0

a new version of zkverify is being released

We are excited to announce the release of Runtime Upgrade 0.11.0. This upgrade brings significant performance improvements to the zero-knowledge proof verification process, specifically for the Risc0 and Ultraplonk verifiers.

This upgrade does not require users to update their nodes.

What’s New?

The upgrade introduces:

These improvements help streamline the process of verifying zero-knowledge proofs, making it more efficient.

Why Does This Matter?

Faster verification brings a couple of benefits that enhance the overall blockchain efficiency:

  • Lower Latency: Reduction in wait times while proof verification happens.
  • Higher Throughput: The network will be able to handle more verifications at once.

How Was This Achieved?

The improvements come from Node Acceleration, a method that optimizes cryptographic operations by running them directly on the node instead of within the slower runtime environment. This helps make the process more efficient.
