zkVerify's Node Release 0.8.0 and Runtime Upgrade 0.10.0

We're excited to announce the Node Release 0.8.0 and Runtime Upgrade 0.10.0, bringing key updates to zkVerify, including enhanced support for Risc0 and Ultraplonk verifiers.
The Node Release, available from January 21, 2025, is a non-mandatory but highly recommended update, while the Runtime Upgrade is happening on January 23, 2025. This release focuses on porting the native Rust verifiers to WASM, laying the groundwork for future modular architecture improvements.
Additionally, we’ve expanded compatibility with the latest versions of Risc0 and Ultraplonk. This update also includes a fix, in collaboration with the Talisman team.
Summary of the Changes:
- The core update is updating the Risc0 and Ultraplonk verifiers. They are native Rust verifiers and will now be ported to WASM.
- On Risc0 we now support version the latest version 1.2. The Risc0 verifier is also compatible with all versions available so far (1.1/1.2/1.3).
- On Ultraplonk we now support the latest version: 1.0.0-beta1. The Ultraplonk verifier is also compatible with previous versions.
- Gas cost is reduced for Groth16 and Fflonk proofs with pre-registered verification keys.

The timing of these updates are critical, as the next zkVerify Online Hackathon for Web3 Builders is starting soon on January 27th! Providing the latest versions of the verifiers is key for developers and builders working with those verifiers.
